Brian Hofer AIA has been a practicing architect for over 30 years. Born and raised in Southern California, he developed a strong interest in the current and historic culture of architecture and art in his native region. This interest led him to architecture graduate school, earning a Master’s degree from UCLA. His initial professional work was with a Los Angeles firm specializing in hospitals, senior housing, and related projects. After moving to Santa Barbara, he developed an initially residential practice which grew into a broader spectrum of work, often collaborating with other architects on a wide range of projects. He’s been a member of the Board of Directors for the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara for many years, and is currently the Board President. Brian’s also been involved with numerous community planning and design activities over the years.
